APSCC Shows Confidence That C-Band Will Be Protected by Asian Governments

The satellite industry and Asian governments are likely to stand together in the defence of a “no change” approach to C-band’s reallocation, according to the aspirations of the APSCC (Asia Pacific Satellite Communications Council), a not-for-profit global group of private and public satellite organisations.

The imminent renewal of this year’s World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-15) will be the forum for the meeting of regulators, governments and industry representatives to make decisions on issues of spectrum, with solutions concerning 3.4 to 4.2 GHz C-Band featuring as the satellite sector’s major concern.
