Full HD capacity for North Africa and Middle East unveiled by Selevision


Selevision, the content and technology provider based in the Middle East has unveiled its “revolutionary new video codec” in a bid to raise the number of HD channels and provide increased enjoyment of satellite and television services in the North Africa and Middle Eastern region.

Khusheim Holdings based in Saudi Arabia reports that the “Nukodec” can provide channels in full HD at a rate of only 1 Mbps. Khusheim’s subsidiary, Selevision states that Nukodec is “designed to replace both H.264 and HEVC/H.265″ and that it is going to “make the technology available to industry players across the globe.”
