A statement by Arabsat pledges $2.5 Billion for the launch in 2015 of five satellites that are sixth generation. Arabsat’s focus is on the replacement and renewal of existing satellites of the fifth generation according to their sales and marketing vice president, Tarek Balkheyour.
He went on to say that the company is seeking to circulate border insurance via surveillance by satellite within multiple Arabian countries. Arabsat stated: “What is worth saying is that sixth generation satellites are a quantum leap in terms of manufacturing technology and the capabilities of satellites. The new satellites will cover the Middle East, Africa, Asia and many parts of Europe”.
