Iridium satellite phones received by Kenyan government for emergency use.


Ten Iridium satellite phones have been received by the government of Kenya form the ITU (International Telecommunication Union). The government has been issued the phones to be used in the cases of any threat or emergency in the country.

The phones will be at the disposal of the government to co-ordinate emergency services including: security, floods and other circumstances, especially in regions with inadequate or even no terrestrial coverage.
