Modems Sent to Nepal by NovelSat for Disaster Relief

Several NS3000 professional grade satellite modems have been donated by NovelSat based in Israel. The modems have been sent to a satellite solutions and teleport integration specialist based in Asia to help relief efforts after the earthquake measuring 7.8 magnitude which hit Nepal on 25 April.

The modems’ deployment formed part of the quake scene’s mobile communications centres and they provide fully enabled resiliency and efficiency features. The devices are being used by emergency responders to bolster the terrestrial communications network elements that were disabled or destroyed by the quake, they will also assist in the pressing task of aid and rescue coordination.
