TECOM and Inmarsat sign MOA for government aviation terminals from Global Xpress

TECOM, a subsidiary of Smiths Microwave, and Inmarsat have set up an MOA (Memorandum of Arrangement) to build Global Xpress® terminals for aviation aimed at the governmental market. The initial product offered by TECOM for the governmental aviation market is the antenna network Ka-5000 SATCOM, a recent development from the company.

The terminal provides aviation customers of governments with accessibility for the wide band high speed capability of the Inmarsat-5 Global Xpress satellite system in both the commercial and military Ka-bands. Thermal managing solutions are featured in the Ka-5000 enabling governmental users to operate in multiple situations.
