West African Ebola Relief Effort Supported by Nethope’s Satellite Connectivity and Equipment Provided by Eutelsat


Nethope and Eutelsat have formed collaboration for the improvement of connection solutions for charitable enterprises stationed in Western Africa to bring aid and relief to the Ebola outbreak. Accra in Ghana, the U.N.’s base for its Mission for Ebola Emergency Response has seen the arrival of broadband and satellite equipment that will provide voice communication, Internet access and video conferencing.

The terminals are currently in transit to Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia where they will be used in sectors that have poor communications networks with the goal of supporting aid workers in their mission against Ebola.
